I think I can, I think I can...

I guess I should dish out some background information. I am a 27 year old female. I live out in the country (Clayton NC) with my hubby-to-be and our two children Alisha (10) and Amara (9) in our new home. Edited for clarity: James's mother and best friend live on our property, but not in our home. I am a SAHM, but I run a few websites and do some marketing during the summer. Our income is a little over 4000/mth and somehow every month we spend it all. This year, I plan on figuring out why we waste so much money and I am going to learn how to save more.

As of today. We have 0.71 in savings.

We have two major bills.
The house payment. ($1,012.67)
Car payment. ($513.24)

So where does $2000 go? (I took out for food and gas)

That's what I am here to figure out.

    Welcome - we are here to help. If I'm reading your entry right, your household is quite large with four adults. Does the 4000$ represent one income, or is it a total pooled from several people ?

    $4000 only includes my household (myself and James). His mother and best friend live on our property in a renovated building. So no, I did not include them.
